Victoria Cross Memorial York Stone
This was a very brave man who fought for the Free World.
Won for taken a German machine gun position by himself. Saving the lives of many of his comrades . Born in Greenwich but family moved to Canada when he was young.
The Royal British Legion donated these Stones to any Borough that had VC winner born there so they could be laid at there Remembrance day place. For all to remember the Brave.
This one has a mistake in the bar missing on the E. Hence an other one was made and laid.
We have had the privilege of owning this for a few years but now feel it is time to sell it to some one who can display and enjoy it.
